Description
We have an immediate opening for a Manager Principal, Project
Control to provide the appropriate Project Management and Project
Control Strategies, tools skills, and temperament to ensure successful project
execution. Lead by example. Be part of the team. Aggressively challenge the
status quo. Accurately identify issues. Propose innovative solutions. Stay
focused on company and project goals and objectives. Gather, analyze report and
present data in such a way as to foster timely decision making. Someone with enough experience to drive the planning effort with
limited effort from the delivery side of the project. We are
looking for someone that:
Stand back, seek and analyze ways of driving
planning efficiencies into the company plans
If needed, must be able to drive a schedule
recovery planning effort
Is a true advocate of the planning
disciplines

Requirements
BA/BS degree in related field or applicable
discipline, or equivalent or relevant experience. 12 to 15 years of relevant
experience including technical and supervisory experience is preferred. Manages
work directly or indirectly through Managers.
Minimum of 8 years of offshore experience
Minimum of 12 years of overall planning,
scheduling and project controls experience
Brownfield and BP project experience
preferred
Primavera P6 experience required
Lead experience on projects of $250M and up
preferred
Manages multiple functional disciplines;
Develops and oversees implementation of strategic programs and policies for
their groups, which will have impact on the overall organization; Ability to
manage multiple complex projects through others; Works frequently with
executive management on significant matters influencing the organizations
business results, which typically include global strategies;
Ability to visualize and oversee the design
of new concepts and ideas related to the broader organization as well as
functional area of expertise and ; Broad knowledge of
business operations and ability to implement and lead organizational change
effectively; Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general
information and consultation with other individuals.
The ability to effectively communicate and
present complex program proposals and reports to executive level management
and/or the Board is critical. Ability to persuade and influence others is
critical. Participative management style with a cooperative team approach.
Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural and possibly multi-national
environments. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a
team-oriented environment.
General characterized as a manager with
seasoned technical knowledge. Manages and directs through mid-level and senior
level managers or first level directors. Typically will interface with lower
level personnel, executive management, customers, and outside vendors. General
