Description

*       Senior Pipeline Engineer (Duration 9 months in Houston)

B.S. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with minimum ten (10) years relevant experience in the oil/gas industry. Must have been in CONSULTANT’s organization for at least three (3) years in similar position and must have previous PMC experience..

Besides extensive expertise in pipeline design & engineering, familiarity in pipeline materials application and stress engineering is essential. Must be fully knowledgeable about codes, standards & recommended practices for this discipline. Experience with Consultant or owner organization in the execution of similar projects is a must. Such participation in projects in Middle East is beneficial.

Requirements

*       BS or MS in related field or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree; or equivalent experience if allowed by law. Generally 10+ years of related work experience including supervisory experience are typically required; relevant professional registration preferred.

*       Supervisor role has full responsibility for assignment of work and performance. Typically supervises professional or exempt personnel that may be in multiple, but similar function roles.

*       Proficient with engineering software applications. Computer proficiency required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Accuracy and attention to detail important. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities somewhat important. The ability to prepare, present and/or supervise the development of complex program proposals and reports to senior level management and customers is critical. Responsible for establishing project estimates and oversight of project budgets. Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate in English and take a leadership role over the group for which they have supervisory responsibilities.

*       Commitment to customer service and ability to assist others in applying knowledge and understanding in solving functional problems within area of expertise. Ability to maintain confidential information critical.

*       Generally characterized as a "Supervising" with ability to discover issues and recommend solutions to business problems uncovered during course of performing assignments. Has less independent contributor responsibilities and more supervisory responsibilities. Provides oversight, expertise and guidance to less experienced individuals.

*       Typically will regularly interface with departmental staff and upper management, and frequently with outside customers.
