Job Type: Contract – 3 mos.

Description:

Onshore Pipeline Engineer to provide technical services for approximately 3 months in support of Client’s development near Kenedy, TX.  The position will be based at Client’s west Houston office and will require travel to and around the Kenedy, TX are about 20 percent of the time.  The job is full time with work hours occasionally exceeding 40 per week.  The position will provide technical and field support to an existing Client engineer.  The project typically involves flowlines 8 inch and smaller in diameter.

 

Education:

Engineering degree

 

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years applicable experience with land pipelines including some design experience with ASME B31.8 / DOT 192 and ASME B31.4 / DOT 195 and TRRC regulations.

Scope of work:

  1. Installation of pig launchers and receivers
  2. Develop procedures for pipeline repair
  3. Develop procedures for hydrotesting of pipelines
  4. Develop procedures for remediation of struck pig
  5. Develop procedures for line conversion from natural gas to liquid service
  6. Develop procedures and identify additional facility modifications required to continue gas production that is currently flowing from Client’s liquid laterals into Client’s gas laterals (lines from central facility to trunkline).  This would be part of the natural gas to liquid service conversion of the trunkline
  7. Recommend pigging activities for 8 inch pipeline to be converted from wet gas service to liquids service.
